ADA 2025

Shuttle Branding at McCormick Place
Held June 20–23, 2025 at McCormick Place in Chicago, the American Diabetes Association’s 85th Annual Meeting (ADA 2025) is one of the largest and most influential diabetes-focused healthcare conferences in the U.S. With tens of thousands of attendees, a packed education schedule, and full-scale sponsor activations, visibility is critical—and shuttle branding plays a key role in setting the tone from the curb in.
Working with Kushner & Associates, Ballyhoo coordinated the design and install of 20 branded ribbon graphics for show sponsor Freestyle Libre, the leading continuous glucose monitor in the U.S. The job required real-time communication, agile problem solving, and a multi-yard install approach—all executed smoothly in the 48 hours leading up to the event’s launch.

Execution & Results
For ADA 2025—the American Diabetes Association’s flagship annual meeting—we partnered with Kushner & Associates to brand the shuttle fleet transporting attendees between McCormick Place and surrounding hotels. The sponsor, Freestyle Libre (the #1 continuous glucose monitor in the U.S.), needed bold, clean ribbon graphics applied across 20 shuttle buses. As always, the install needed to be fast, flexible, and invisible to attendees by the time service began.
We coordinated closely with the team at JPD Graphics, who started the job Thursday afternoon at a shared Infinity Transportation/Flash Limo yard in Des Plaines. Fifteen buses were decaled that day, with install crews adjusting in real-time to a few surprises—including one vehicle that didn’t match the approved proof and featured an unexpected rear passenger door that would have cut through the sponsor graphic. Cutting wasn’t an option. Kushner pivoted to find a replacement bus while we rerouted the crew to Signature Transportation’s yard to finish two more installs by day’s end.
Sponsor visibility was strong throughout the event, and removals were coordinated directly at McCormick Place as the last shuttle loops wrapped up. The client was pleased with the outcome and especially appreciative of our ability to adapt quickly when plans shifted on the ground.
Big thanks to David, Conrad, and Greg at JPD Graphics for the steady install support, and to Erika Hinzmann at Kushner, who quarterbacked the shuttle program and helped everything come together cleanly.
